VSDC Booth at Animal Rights Conference: Saturday

Volunteers needed to staff the Vegetarian Society of DC (VSDC) table at the Animal Rights 2013 National Conference! An excellent opportunity to promote VSDC and the benefits of vegetarianism. The conference is hosted by Farm Animal Rights Movement (FARM) and is a "whos-who" of animal activists and a great opportunity to meet like-minded people, shop for vegan goods in the exhibit hall, and learn about animal-friendly businesses and non-profits. Please volunteer for this event by RSVP'ing and indicating your time preference. Specific shifts will be awarded via email to volunteers who provide contact information. This meetup event is for Saturday.

Volunteers needed:
Friday table: 10:00 am – 6:00 pm

Saturday table: 10:00 am – 6:00 pm (please choose morning, early afternoon, or late afternoon)

Sunday table: 10:00 am – 5:30 pm

 

The Animal Rights 2013 National Conference takes place in Alexandria, Virginia at the Hilton Alexandria Mark Center Hotel. You do not have to be a registered conference attendee to volunteer at the VSDC booth. A free shuttle ferries guests to and from the Pentagon City Metro Station (Blue and Yellow lines) and National Airport. The hotel is located at 5000 Seminary Road, Alexandria VA 22311, just northwest of the Seminary Rd exit on I-395, five miles south of the DC line. Parking is $5 at the hotel. When you RSVP, you will be prompted to provide your name, contact information, and a shift preference. This information will be available only to organizers. We need to have your name and contact information to schedule you for a volunteer shift. When you RSVP, you will receive an automated email confirmation from Meetup.com, but the actual volunteer scheduling is done through emails between organizers and volunteers.
