DC VegFest will be held at the Yards Park (near Nationals Stadium) on Saturday, September 28th from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Founded in 1997 by VSDC, this annual vegetarian celebration features over 100 exhibitors, cooking demonstrations, speakers, free food samples and more! Spread the word and join VSDC along with host and presenting sponsor Compassion Over Killing (COK) at this fabulous event in our Nation’s capitol. The event will also have a children’s activity area and is dog-friendly (please note that dogs should kept on a leash at all times).
This FREE event has grown tremendously over the past 4 years and hosting the festival is an expensive endeavor. Donations are essential to DC VegFest’s success, so please consider making a contribution to DC VegFest by visiting www.DCVegFest.com/support.
Volunteers are also needed before, during, and after the festival, so please go to http://dcvegfest.com/take-action/volunteer/ if you are interested in helping. (Please note that you will be volunteering directly with DC VegFest and COK via the link above. VSDC will have its own booth at DC VegFest and will post details about volunteering with VSDC in a separate Vegan Meetup event soon.)
Please visit www.DCVegFest.com for additional information about the festival, a list of speakers and exhibitors, and updates. Tell your family and friends and we hope to see you there!
