VSDC Singles: Hiking in Great Falls Park

Join VSDC's Vegan Singles Group for a hike in the beautiful Great Falls Park!  We will meet at 11:00 a.m. at the parking lot at Old Angler's Inn, and then proceed to the Billy Goat Trail, Section B.  Please pack a lunch or snack as we will plan to stop for a lunch break along the way.

This part of the Billy Goat Trail is of moderate difficulty and will probably take about 2 hours, including the time we stop for lunch.  Don't forget to wear good shoes!

If you have any questions, please contact: singles -at- vsdc p.e.r.i.o.d org

It was good to meet you, Heather. We don't usually stand out in the middle of parking lots for hours discussing national security issues, cancer, and health. I enjoyed hiking Saturday. We should do more outside activities. The modem for my internet service went down Saturday night and I just got it replaced today, so, sorry about the late reply.

Hi Paul, You're welcome! It was a great day. The modem for my internet service went down Saturday night and I just got it replaced today. So, sorry about the late reply. I'd like to finish our discussion about cancer, health, and nutrition another time at another meetup in the future. I really enjoyed everyone's company on Saturday. We should do more hiking. See you at another meetup. Waiting to see the blender, water purification system, and a cooking demo : )

Everyone on the waiting list, currently there are nine, can come on the hike if you're still interested. We should have enough room. See you tomorrow at 11 am.

    it's too hot!

    July 19, 2013

    • Allison S. M.

Jim, this is just normal temps for June and July. We've had it good this summer with cooler than normal temps in the 80's this year. Be happy it isn't 100 degrees! Plus, you can always dive into the Potomac if you need to cool off (just kidding, don't do that unless you want to drown).

Any one know the meet up spot before the hike?

    July 19, 2013

    • Allison S. M.

Dan, we are meeting in the parking lot across Macarthur Blvd from Angler's Inn. Check the map on the meetup page. If you pass the first parking lot and go down to the second one, at the end you will see a stairway that goes down to the towpath and canal. We will meet there at 11 am. Come early so that you have time to find the right spot.

Why is there a limit on sign ups?

    June 26, 2013

    • Anne B.

Parking will be limited, but also for safety. It's important to count heads on a hike, and counting to 50 would be less fun! :)
