Despite today's weather... The Vegetarian Society of DC's African American Networking Group (AANG) will conduct a potluck celebration of the seven Kwanzaa principles: Umoja (Unity), Kujichagulia (Self-Determination), Ujima (Collective Work and Responsibility), Ujamaa (Cooperative Economics), Nia (Purpose), Kuumba (Creativity), and Imani (Faith).
Please bring a vegan dish or beverage to share. ("Vegan" means no meat, fish, poultry, dairy, eggs, honey, gelatin, or other animal products.) This is a private residence near the Columbia Heights and Georgia Avenue Metro stations in DC.
Allergy alert: a cat lives at the residence, but she won’t actually be at the celebration.
Confirmation & directions will be e-mailed to the RSVPs Sunday Dec. 1. Please email David at aang-at-vsdc p.e.r.i.o.d org if you do not receive the email.
The group is a part of the Vegetarian Society of DC's African American Networking group activities. If you are not already a member of the Vegetarian Society of DC, please visit http://vsdc.org/ to join.
