Volunteers are needed to table at our VSDC booth during the upcoming DC VegFest. This is a fun and easy way for you to contribute to VSDC, meet people, and enjoy the event.

If you have not volunteered for us before, (Welcome!) others will be there to fill you in on what to do. (It's pretty easy stuff.) At least three people are scheduled at the same time.

The DC VegFest runs 11am - 6pm and is on rain or shine, so we'll be counting on you! We will be under a nice tent.  To find the VSDC tent and table, please look for signs / diagrams at the event that list all the exhibitors (VSDC will have a central spot) or ask at the main VegFest Info Table.

When you RSVP, you will be prompted to indicate the time slot(s) you prefer. These are the approx tabling times:

9:30-11:30 setting up (involves some light lifting and carrying)

11:00-1:00 tabling

12:30-2:30 tabling

2:00-4:00 tabling

3:30-5:30 tabling

5:00-7:00 tabling & taking things down (involves some light lifting and carrying)

When you RSVP, you will be prompted to provide your name, contact information, and a shift preference (morning, midday, mid afternoon, late afternoon, or evening). This information will be available only to organizers. Thanks for your assistance! When you RSVP, you will receive an automated email confirmation from Meetup.com, but the actual volunteer scheduling is done through emails between organizers and volunteers. Thanks so much for your cooperation, and for your support of VSDC!

VegFest was founded by VSDC in 1997.  This year, DC VegFest is organized by our friends at Compassion Over Killing.  More general info at: www.dcvegfest.com

THANKS to our many generous volunteers, VSDC had a great presence at VegFest on a beautiful day! We shared important info with many people who were not (yet) veg on the reasons why. We also helped attendees see the diverse and energetic community we're building to reaffirm and share the important reasons for being vegan in our world today.

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
