VSDC’s Poplar Spring Hay Day!
Come spend a half day with VSDC in the hay helping farm animals at Poplar Spring Animal Sanctuary on Saturday, April 14, 2012 from 9 am to 12 noon. RAIN OR SHINE!
VSDC Hay Day Volunteers will spend the morning volunteering by working with the animal residents (feeding, cleaning and grooming) and doing farm maintenance (mowing, fencing, working on barns, etc.)
Only RSVP "YES" if you are serious about being a VSDC Hay Day Volunteer. The maximum number of volunteers is only 15. If you can't commit, please do not RSVP "YES" because that prevents someone else from participating.
Also, if you RSVP "YES" and do not show up or cancel the morning of we will have no choice but to remove you from future VSDC Poplar Spring Hay Day events. Poplar Spring Animal Sanctuary and their animal residents are counting on those who RSVP "YES" to be there. So, please be considerate of your fellow VSDC members, Poplar Spring Animal Sanctuary and their animal residents by following through on your commitment.
At this time, only those 18 years and older can volunteer at the sanctuary. Should this change we will notify all in the next announcement. A volunteer form and liability waiver form must be completed and signed and brought with you the day of the event. Those who RSVP will be provided copies by way of email.
Pack a lunch and beverage and after spending the morning in the hay we will have picnic lunch together at the Sanctuary.
