SYNOPSIS (from GetVegucated.com)

Part sociological experiment and part adventure comedy, Vegucated follows three meat- and cheese-loving New Yorkers who agree to adopt a vegan diet for six weeks. Lured by tales of weight lost and health regained, they begin to uncover the hidden sides of animal agriculture that make them wonder whether solutions offered in films like Food, Inc. go far enough. This entertaining documentary showcases the rapid and at times comedic evolution of three people who discover they can change the world one bite at a time.

"The movie is not rated. It does include explicit language and some graphic footage of factory farming and the like. We recommend viewers be at least in high school. Like an R-rated movie, though, it’s ultimately up to a parent."

It was very well organized. The check-in process was seamless, chairs were set up, and the food was already available for the early arrivals. Great doc on the vegan lifestyle!

thought the movie was very well-made and presented, and people could identify with the 3 people trying veganism. would strongly recommend the movie for anyone who knows people open to the change. and many THANKS to all who helped make the screening a great success!!

The film's (Vegucated) graphic depiction of the real cruelty directed at animals at slaughter houses effectively compels any caring person watching to seriously reconsider whether they want to continue to support such cruelty by consuming meat, poultry, and dairy products. The choices we make mater and they speak volumes about who we are. It is never too late to make better ones. Excellent documentary!

Will it be shown in DC. Not MD and VA, etc. If yes where? Or where can it be obtained? Thanks

Hi Deidre. You can buy the DVD online: http://www.kindgreenp...= If this screening goes well, we will definitely look at DC locations.

And it was actually already screened several times in DC recently, once at a Unitarian church, once at a yoga studio, and once by Compassion Over Killing. Keep an eye out on the Vegucated website for upcoming events. Anyone can organize a screening of the film!

Why do this two days before the election? I will be too busy volunteering for my candidate to attend!

"We" = Compassion for Animals, though we'd love to do another joint screening with VSDC! :)
