WHAT: Help make and decorate vegan valentine cookies and paper valentines to take home.
WHERE: Elizabeth's house, N. Arlington, 4 blocks from East Falls Church Metro (Orange Line).
COST: A few dollars per person to help with craft supplies and organic ingredients would be appreciated. A voluntary collection jar will be set out.
BRING: An apron and a take-home container, if possible.
FOOD: There will not be room for a potluck dinner or meal preparation, but you are welcome to bring a bagged vegan meal for yourself or compact finger foods or beverages to share (alcohol OK; try to make it vegan). Vegan snacks, popcorn, teas (herbal and not), coffees (decaf and not), soy cocoa, sodas, etc., will be provided. This party was a surprise hit in 2008, with a good male-female balance. The guys made some of the best valentines! RSVP: THIS MEETUP IS FULL AND THE WAITING LIST IS CLOSED.. Notes: (1) Six cats live with Elizabeth; they will be secluded during the party. (2) The hostess has invited a small number of non-single friends. All singles (persons not married or in otherwise committed relationships) are welcome. Meet others for networking, having fun, socializing, friendship, and/or romance. Events are open to persons of all dietary persuasions.

It was fun! Great people, cookies, and valentine card skills! Thanks to Elizabeth for being a wonderful hostess as always! Also, thanks to Chez Hareg for the wonderful huge donation of vegan cookies, biscotti, napoleaons, etc. I'll definitely check out this pastry place -

The organizer, Elizabeth, is wonderful! She was very well-prepared both for the card-making and the cookie-making. I had a great time and five hours went by very quickly. I enjoyed the company of all the other attendees as well and hope to see them again at future events.
