"Hi everyone, If you've been to the vegan shop-ups at the Pine Box Rock Shop, you've probably seen Bunna Café and maybe even tasted their yummy vegan Ethiopian food. They used to be a pop-up and catering business only, but they have just opened their actual restaurant in Bushwick (1084 Flushing Avenue). I thought it would be fun to go there sometime soon and check out their new space. Gomen- steamed kale, with carrots, red onion, ginger, garlic and and herbs
Misir Wot- split red lentils cooked with spicy berbere sauce, red onion, ginger, garlic, herbs
Yeter Kik Alicha- yellow split peas cooked with red onion, ginger, garlic, tomato and a touch of yellow curry
Keysir- simmered beets, carrots, and potatoes
Yetimatim Selata- raw cut tomatoes, red onion and hot green pepper mixed with lime juice and oil
Kedija Selata- kale, lime, tomato, and avocado in an olive oil dressing
