I know Jeff Nelson of has said that his purpose in creating that video was "to look at people who are primarily pushing a particular diet," but I do worry that it may come across as a) cherry-picked or anecdotal evidence, and perhaps worse, b) kinda mean or hurtful to those of us who are heavier.

Jeff made a newer one this year: http://www.vegsource....
It seems a little less mean to me. Maybe because it doesn't stamp people with "FAT" in capital letters, and uses the word "overweight" in lower case. Still...

When it comes to body weight & dietary pattern, I think sharing something like the research presented in this video is less likely to expose you to charges of cherry-picking or presenting evidence that's merely anecdotal:

Here's where you can see both the video, and the primary source citation: http://nutritionfacts...

I dont think theres anything wrong with stamping the socalled health and diet experts as fat. They are telling people what to do to lose weight and be healthy and yet they are overweight, that smells of hypocrisy to me. Anyway, I watched those videos and didnt find them offensive. It suprises me that anyone who is vegan would be overweight, but I think that may have more to do with eating the packaged foods and overly sugary treats that are available. If you eat the Fuhrman plan or one of those others in the videos the weight falls off. I lost 12lbs in about 2 months and I went on vacation while losing it. I highly recommend eat to live by Dr. Fuhrman.
