Hi Everyone-

RE: egg replacer by Ener-G
It is  available at Heinen's, Mustard Seed Market, and I think Whole Foods as well. Giant Eagle may also carry it in their "natural and organic" section.

Hello Everyone!

I wanted to pass along that there are vegan egg substitutes that will be helpful in our baking efforts.  My daughter from Columbus brought me one made by the EnerG company [masked]) that worked well in our pumpkin pie recipe for Thanksgiving.  The Egg Replacer is gluten free, wheat free, and nut free, and comes in a 16 oz. Box.  I just don't know where to buy it in Cleveland, but maybe somebody can enlighten us.

I'm looking forward to having a vegan baking party at my house in January!  TBA

Greetings,

Jan

Two more recipes have been added to the Files section. One of them is NOT vegan..yet. Id like to hear how you made the Peanut Butter cookies vegan and how they turned out! Then maybe we can bake them at Jans house in January! One of our members also has some Butterscotch cookies that hed really like veganized. If I can wrestle the recipe from him, Ill post it in the Files section for experimentation.

Also, I started another Message Board topic about shelf life. If anyone could help answer my questions, that would be great.

Thanks, everyone stay tuned for more meetups beginning January, 2010!

Happy Holidays J
