What is your favorite vegan dish?

all vegan dishes are wonderful, but especially love to eat fresh organic seasonal locally grown fruit salad or home grown vegetable medleys spiced up aromatically, and arranged artisticly!

What is your favorite restaurant?

all vegan restaurants I've eaten at have some delicious dishes on the menu, but am always trying to locate more, and expand my horizons trying out new recipes at home, based on the experience of tasting it out, first!

Do you have a special dish that you like to cook?

I love to adapt recipes from cooked to raw, experimenting with different flavors, whether it is slightly spicey, sour, sweet, salty, or, hopefully, not too bitter (this type of taste is often lacking, and foods that are bitter by nature often are beneficial with healing qualities) therefore, I attempt to use bitter foods, especially bitter herbs from the garden, and try to do so in the right proportion, balanced, and in moderation.

How long have you been vegan and why?

Gosh, has it been already thirty four years vegan, and still counting?!? Time flies like an arrow, fruit flies like a banana. Ha, ha... Lifetime vegetarian/vegan, for the following logical points, that I hope to expand on when and if you are curious for more details, but summing it up in a nut shell filled with a bit more than just a few words: empathy towards non-human animals, feeding more starving humans, ecology, ethical considerations, spiritual, compassion, understanding, peace, harmony, global sustainability, organic considerations, and more...

Love veeing vegan! Displaying the V symbol proudly for decades now, among others, for ethical, ecological, compassionate, caring, dietary, divine, spiritual, sensitive, altruistic, artistic, playful, passionate, loving, empathetic reasons!

What Janine Laura B. is saying about this Meetup Group

One has the feeling of belonging, in this group, to an important cause, supporting veganism, and even though the word "foodies" is part of the name of this group, it is made up of persons who not only are dietary vegans, but share other aspects of veganism, as well, which is comforting. Andy is a very sharing soul, an awesome leader, and also a personable caring individual, who is amazingly talented in everything he does!
