I went to Veg Fest on Sunday and volunteered at the cooking demos. I had a great time and loved all the food! Especially JL's creamy kale miso soup, easy to make and delicious! It was my first time attending and I had a great time supporting cruelty free businesses, eating vegan foods, meeting people, and watching presentations. Great event!

Thanks for your help at the cooking demos! I know the chefs were all very happy with the help they received from the volunteers. :-)

The VegFest was good, unfortunately I didn't see the group. I didn't know where they were meeting but at 9:45 I didn't see a big group inside or outside or even 10 minutes later and I wanted to see the first speaker.

It's difficult to know who is from our meetup group at big events like this since people come from all over and many people aren't members. A lot of the volunteers are part of A Vegan life and Boulder and Beyond groups so they would have been a good bet to introduce yourself to, but they were mostly too busy to visit much. I'm sorry I missed meeting you. I hope to see you at a smaller event soon. Ask A Vegan on the 14th and our potlucks on the first Sunday of each month will be great places to meet fellow members. Thank you for attending VegFest! I hope you enjoyed the event!

Such a great event. Kudos to Ann and Peter and all the hard working volunteers!

And now a word or two to the complainers. Did any of you do anything to contribute to the event?

Did you work for entire past year to make sure the event was a success?

Do you know of a better facility that has free parking, room for food trucks, multiple rooms for speakers, food demos and the vendor area? And that costs a reasonable amount of money?

Are you willing to risk your personal funds to mount this event and hope that you can cover your costs? No? I didn't think so. If you think someone "should of" done something I suggest you get involved this next year and help make it happen.

The number of times the organizers heard "you should have done this or you should have done that" is embarrassing There is no payoff in running this festival in terms of $. Just the satisfaction that the Vegan Life is well represented and that most people appreciate the value of this great Colorado event.

I was blown away by the quality of presenters, demos and information. I became vegan for health but was really impressed by Nathan Runkle's (Mercy for Animals) knowledge, information presented and ability to captivate the audience. Chef AJ's demo and sense of humor was a kick...she convinced me I need a pressure cooker along with her book ;-). A huge THANK YOU to Ann and Peter along with Delectable Planet who donated the video recording of demos to promote veganism. My only regret is that I had to miss an event or two and a few exhibitors.

Great as always. The Tofurky people have the best stuff. All the other vendors are fun to try as well.
