Matt's and Anne's Bios
Nearly 20 years ago, Anne Green and Matt
Ball, along with Jack Norris, founded
Vegan Outreach (VO) (http://bit.ly/146sCb8),
dedicated to exposing
and ending cruelty to animals.
Since that time, they and thousands of
Vegan Outreach activists
have distributed more than 20,000,000 of their
illustrated, documented booklets
-- Compassionate Choices,
Even If You Like Meat,
and Why Vegan --
primarily through VO's
Adopt a College Program.
A recent study by Farm Sanctuary
and The Humane League
found that 49% of students who received a VO
booklet during college changed their
diet to help animals (http://bit.ly/1a8bAeH),
with many of them going vegetarian.
Matt is also co-author of
"The Animal Activist's Handbook:
Maximizing Our Positive Impact in
Today's World," with Bruce Friedrich.
Their daughter, Ellen Green,
is a life-long vegan, as well as a two-sport varsity
athlete and Dean's list student at Pomona College (http://bit.ly/tcNCtp).
She is studying Molecular Biology with an
emphasis on Public Policy.
Combined, Team Green-Ball have been
vegan for over 60 years.
