Live cultures & fermented foods

Good news! We'll be making kim chi with bok choy fresh from the garden and will have kefir grains as well as kombucha mothers for sale and additional ferments to taste. Looking forward to seeing you there!

Lets talk about live culture in our culture! Come learn about the incredible tradition and health benefits of fermented foods! We will discuss and demonstrate how to make various fermented vegetables, grains and probiotic beverages. This is an amazing and simple transformation that you can do right at home. There will be an opportunity for some sampling and hands on work!

Eileen Roscina Richardson is a certified Natural Foods Chef and fermentation enthusiast. A graduate of the Nutritional Therapy Institute of Denver, she resides in her hometown where she cooks, and cultures.

$25 fee includes instructor time and materials. Since we have an outside instructor, I'm asking folks to sign up on Eventbrite at http://www.eventbrite.com/event/7287684661. If that presents a problem for you, please let me know in your response and we can make special arrangements.

Sorry you can't join us Bonnie. Trying to make it work for the most folks possible, but now I'm not sure! Oy!

That happened with the last class I did...sometimes you just have to do what's best for you. You only cause yourself more stress by attempting to accommodate everyone.

This is an exciting topic...I have been looking for more information on probiotics and fermentation. Seems intimidating without the information in a class like this. Thank you for adding it!

I am happy to bring someone in who can break it down for all of us!

This is being moved to Thursday?

I had a couple of requests to move it to Thursday because of the other cooking workshop on Wednesday. I will talk to the instructor about holding another one if there is enough interest.
