A Vegan Life Plant-based (vegan) Potluck
Hosted by Vegan Life Colorado

This gathering is a great way to make new
friends & try new plant-based foods!

We welcome everyone, regardless of dietary preference, to share a
PLANT-BASED/VEGAN meal (a meal free of animal products).
Join others in our community for a yummy vegan meal
and fun, interesting conversation.

NOTE: if you RSVP yes and your plans change, please change your RSVP as soon as possible. Thank you!

For the potluck, bring a plant-based dish (no meat, fish fowl, gelatin, dairy, eggs, honey or other animal derived products) to serve at least 8 people. A plant-based dish can be as simple as, cut up fruits or veggies or a bottle of natural apple juice to share. If you are new to the group, please to come as our guest and let us feed you. Those comfortable with plant-based, please feel free to show off, dazzle us with your talent and bring extra if you like. Also bring a serving utensil, your own place setting, your own drink and a recipe card (with some extras to share) listing the ingredients in your dish (Please note on your recipe card if your dish contains hydrogenated oils for the health conscience folks in the group and also if it contains common allergens such as nuts).

Location: We will be meeting on the 2nd floor at the Highlands Methodist, on the corner of 32nd and Osceola, between Sheridan and Federal in Denver.

Directions: From I-25 take Speer Boulevard, North to 32nd, then go West (left) on 32nd to Osceola. You may park in the lot across Osceola on the East side of the church if there's room.
From the West, take Sheridan to 32nd and go East to Osceola. The Church and lot will be on your right.
From Golden, 32nd also runs East from 13th and Ford in Golden all the way to Osceola, for those of you coming from Golden or the west side of town. It changes from 13th to 32nd somewhere behind the Coors plant.

We will be collecting a small donation (what you can afford) for the rent. They usually charge a $100 fee per use but they are being so kind to only charge us $50. Any extra we collect will go to Vegan Life Colorado to help us with operational expenses so we can continue with our mission (

Tell all your friends! See you there!

a few questions….i'm pretty new to the group and veganism myself. 1st is wine permitted for my drink, 2nd if i make something ahead of time that is hot and it cools off by the time i get there is there a way to heat it up and 3rd my finances are pretty tight right now - has anyone researched maybe an even less expensive rental? wondering if a different church or something that wants to promote veganism would want to offer us this opportunity to meet to help promote the cause?

Hi Tree, glad u can make it! The church doesn't allow wine, last we checked. That said, we don't check people's drinks, but we don't want to get the org in trouble either. Thank u for asking. There's a stove, oven, & microwave to heat food. We searched far & wide for venue deal. This was the best by far. Some places want $150, some have an hourly rate. We don't have to watch the clock. Also, this place has been really good to us. It doesn't matter anyway, bc there is no set donation price for members to attend. In the event details it says drop in "what u can afford" so no 1 has to worry about being able to afford it. Some people drop in extra, bc the event & this meetup r provided by a nonprofit that works all yr to provide community, plant-based/vegan education, help animals, print literature, keep the web sites running, etc. It's up to ea person to contribute what they're able. The donation jar will be on the table. Let me know if u have more questions. Have a good night! :-)
