Monthly Vegan Potluck; plus GAME NIGHT!

Our MeetUp group and sponsors are NOT affiliated with the church or a religion.  We simply rent the room.

===================================

Denver and Beyond Vegan Potluck
Hosted by Vegetarian Society of Colorado
MEET at 5:30 PM, ANNOUNCEMENTS at about 6, EAT after announcements!

We welcome everyone, regardless of dietary preference, to share a PLANT-BASED/VEGAN meal (a meal free of animal products). Join others in our community for a yummy vegan meal and fun, interesting conversation.

NOTE:  if you RSVP yes and your plans change, please change your RSVP as soon as possible. Thank you!

POTLUCK DETAILS:

WE WILL BE PLAYING GAMES AFTER DINNER SO BRING YOUR FAVORITE GAME TO SHARE, if you have one. If not, there will be a few games available to join in on.

For the potluck: Bring a plant-based dish (no meat, fish fowl, gelatin, dairy, eggs, honey or other animal derived products) to serve at least 8 people. A plant-based dish can be as simple as, cut up fruits or veggies or a bottle of natural apple juice to share. If you are new to the group, please to come as our guest and let us feed you. Those comfortable with plant-based, please feel free to show off, dazzle us with your talent and bring extra if you like. Also bring a serving utensil, your own place setting, your own drink and a recipe card (with some extras to share) listing the ingredients in your dish (Please note on your recipe card if your dish contains hydrogenated oils for the health conscience folks in the group and also if it contains common allergens such as nuts).

Location: We will be meeting on the 2nd floor at the Highlands Methodist, on the corner of 32nd and Osceola, between Sheridan and Federal in Denver.

NOTE:  Our MeetUp group and sponsors are NOT affiliated with the church or a religion.  We simply rent the room.

Directions: From I-25 take Speer Boulevard, North to 32nd, then go West (left) on 32nd to Osceola. You may park in the lot across Osceola on the East side of the church if there's room.
From the West, take Sheridan to 32nd and go East to Osceola. The Church and lot will be on your right.
From Golden, 32nd also runs East from 13th and Ford in Golden all the way to Osceola, for those of you coming from Golden or the west side of town. It changes from 13th to 32nd somewhere behind the Coors plant.

We will be collecting a small donation (what you can afford) for the rent. They usually charge a $100 fee per use but they are being so kind to only charge us $50. Any extra we collect will go to Vegetarian Society of Colorado to help us with operational expenses so we can continue with our mission (http://VegetarianSocietyOfColorado.org)

Tell all your friends! See you there!

      Hi Radhika! I'm sorry I missed you last night! I asked Peter if they found a phone during clean up, but they didn't. Maybe someone else picked it up and will let us know. The church is open until noon M-F, if you want to go look around. I hope you find it! Please let us know. Have a great day (missing phone aside)!!

    Sorry I missed getting to see most of you and didn't get to enjoy the delicious food I heard all about, but I'm glad I got there in time to see some of you, though. I had some pot pie, too! ;-}

    I hope we will play games again. Let's just bring them to the potlucks for those who want to. Others can enjoy visiting. I hope to see you next month!!

    If no other kids, can be boring for a 4 year old; but, welcome still. Pack toys? Just suggest. Hope 2 c u.

    Will there be any young children here? My husband and I would live to come but a four year old and one year old can have quite an impact. :). Do you have any kids' events?

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
