(Go when you can) to Food Day at the Botanic Gardens

This is a free, all-day food festival at the Botanic Gardens (10th and York) with vendors, samples, and classes. It's not an explicitly vegan event, but it's definitely vegan friendly, and I encourage you to check out the class schedule and register here: http://www.botanicgardens.org/events-exhibits/special-events/food-day.

There look to be some good talks on gardening, food justice, food preservation/fermentation (the last of which is taught by the guy who owns Five Points Fermentation and the Queen Anne B&B).

You can also stick around for a bit and check out the beautiful Gardens, because admission is free that day. Bring people! (Kids, great, dogs, unfortunately not.)

And it's networking!

We might not run into each other, but I hope that you can go for at least part of the day.

Thank you for letting us know about this event, Hana! We handed out lots of leaflets at the VSC booth and let folks know about VegFest 2013! Special thank you to Dr Connie for helping me table! I'm sorry I didn't get to meet all of our members who attended. Thank you all for going. I hope you enjoyed it. Please let us know what you thought about it.

We have a table for this event. Does anyone want to help with it? I will bring the stuff. It won't be a lot. Please send an email directly to me is you're interested, so the others on the list won't be bother with our exchange. Thank you!!

I think every one is going on their own. I am going to the 10 AM class. I then have an appointment at noon and may go back in the afternoon and catch some of the classes that I don't have to sign up for.

Yay! See you there! I think you only need to register for the two space limited ones.
