PLease join us for ACTION meetup of Mandatory Labeling of GMO's in Colorado!

ORGANIZING TO LABEL GMO'S IN COLORADO!
This will be a great cause to join for the new year!

Are you ok with Genetically Modified foods? Do you want to know what is in what you are eating? Are you going to sit by without knowledge and choice about what is in what our children are eating? Let’s organize at the grass root level and make some changes! We want to know what is in the foods we are eating...
Currently, Thrive-Sustainable Solutions is a meetup group that is making great progress with this cause! We learned that due to regulations, we will be able to propose our agenda on the ballot for the 2014 election year. This year we will be focusing on how to get the word out and educate the public as well as organizing the efforts to collect the approximate 186,000 signatures needed for legislative approval.
We need your help and know that this topic is something that is extremely important and valuable to you, all of us and the future of our children and our country.
California came close with proposition 37, losing by only percentages last election. There are 37 other states that are in coalition with us that we regularly communicate with on a national level for this cause. We feel motivated that Colorado will be among the states if not the first, to get this proposition passed. One of our members mentioned "weed money, for seed money". Colorado is amazing when we come together to fight for our rights and freedoms.
We hope to have you come aboard. Many of us members of this cause are competely interested in sustainability and healthy lliving. Very soon we will be shifitng more and more to organic foods and there will be an interest among individuals and farmers, then there will be less monies made from these GMO products and hopefully a shift back to the natural ways of growing foods.
Thank you for your time in reading this and thanks to Ann S for granting the permissin to post this.
Please join us with learning more of what you may do to contribute to this important cause!

Action meeting...we are currently organizing committees of people to help take on important repsonsibilities and carry out important research, etc. It's also a meeting to learn where we are in the process and what members may do to contribute to the cause if joining a committee is not feasible. Theres a lot of meetups that talk about issues..we take action to make a difference:)

It isn't clear to me if this ACTION is a demonstration or a meeting?

Lastly, we have set a goal to get 1,000 members ready to go out between Jan and August 4th to collect 186,000 signatures. Thats only 186 signatures a person..very, very feasibe. We need all of the help we can get! There are over 2,000 memebers among this group and the Greater Denver Urban Homesteading Group which has also come aboard. 1,000 volunteer members to this cause from the combination of two of the most passionate meetup groups regarding healthy foods should be the foundation to do this.

That's Jan and Aug 4th of 2014, for clarification. We have a whole wonderful year to get solidly organized.

Yes, I would like to come, and can certainly help with getting signatures. My husband just sent me an article about another cancerous and chemically synthesized sugar that will be added to organic packages food without having to be labeled. We can and will fight these things!

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.

Henry, started Reno Motorcycle Riders
