Re: [DenverAndBeyondVeganMeetup] New Vegan Grocery Store

Respectfully is say, come on, John.  Everyone should know how supply and demand works.  The big corporations who can buy in bulk, which we all know is less expensive, can afford to pass the savings on to their customers.  Supporting the small companies, helps them to grow, so they can buy more bulk, so they can pass their savings on to their customers.

I'm all for saving money, and I will continue to do so, but I will use what I save in some areas, to support a new vegan company.  All of us buy things we don't need that cost more than they would if made at home; lattés, ice "cream", lunch, etc.  They won't charge THAT much more, that we can't be supportive on some level.

I DO happen to know them, and their main goal is to promote veganism, in a kind, responsible way.  If they grow and prosper in the process, that's even better.  Who better to support than vegans who promote veganism?  Besides, some of their products will be things we can't get without ordering online, so they will  like save some money for those who order those things.

That said, you are certainly entitled to your opinion.  It's good to allow other folks, theirs.  No one is trying to force you to shop there.  Sarah was simply sharing information for those who are interested.

Personally, I'm happy to wait and see.  I can hardly wait TO see!  I'll do my best to be there on opening day, if at all possible!

Kindest regards,

Ann

I repeat what I and others have said; Not knowing them from Adam's proverbial cat, it's still "wait and see."  Being kind and responsible doesn't mean the prices won't be crazy high... and I won't pay twice as much so they can fulfill their dream.

I second what Sarah said about Nooch. The owners are very kind and responsible people. They are not greedy. They are hardworking folks who have been planning this for quite some time. They also have natural foods and retail experience, so they know what they are getting into and what they are doing.

They feel Denver deserves a great vegan market. Portland has Food Fight, and we will soon have Nooch. I am very excited about it and am looking forward to shopping there. I hope you will consider supporting them if you are so moved.

Respectfully,

Lori Goldman
