I agree with Carol. I've already had this email sent to me from different people in the past -- they were also stranded in London (curious since they were also in Denver at the same time - ha). I'd ignore it and call it an account hacked.

Beware: This can be a true story, but also check directly with that person. I have seen almost the exact same messages. This account may have been hacked into. People do fall for this, but watch out....

| Hello I'm writing this with tears in my eyes,my family and I came down here to London, United Kingdom for a short trip,but unfortunately we got mugged at the park of the hotel where we stayed,all cash,credit card and cell were stolen off us but luckily for me I still have our passports with me. We've been to the embassy and the Police here but they're not helping issues at all and our flight leaves in few hours from now but we're having problems settling the hotel bills and the hotel manager won't let us leave until we settle the bills. I'm freaked out at the moment and we really need your help financially. Thanks, Amy. |
