I used to volunteer there and adopted a horse from them. They do good work with horses but most definitely are not a vegan organization. I'd suggest that you stay away from any events involving food unless you want to see a lot of meat being eaten. I can say from personal experience that horse people are not at all receptive to the vegan message. 
It's a great place to volunteer if you like working with horses.
