Dear Vegan Lifers and Friends,
I'm sorry to say that due to lack of support, Himalaya's in Boulder has stopped the vegan dinner buffet offering on Wednesday evenings. Such a shame. A member stopped by for dinner and found out. If you liked their food, they are still open and will make vegan to order.
Fortunately, family owned and operated Nepal Cuisine (Monday vegan lunch) and Tsing Tao (Thursday vegan dinner) in Boulder are still offering 100% vegan buffets, as they have been for 5 years, and vegan owned Chang Thai in Broomfield is offering 100% vegan dinner buffet on Tuesdays. You can order from the menu at Chang Thai on Tuesday evenings and Tsing Tao on Thursday evenings, if the buffets are too much for you or if you want something specific. They all have vegan on the menu every other day of the week as well. The details for these places are posted on our calendar so check it out and please go when you can.
If anyone can convince restaurants in the Denver Metro area or other areas to offer vegan specials or buffets on other days, let us know and we'll get it posted so folks can support them.
I have some good news, in case you haven't heard. Native Foods is opening their Denver location on Colorado Blvd and Cherry Creek (Drive, I think). I'm not sure when, but I heard October. We'll make a meetup gathering when it's open. It's just as far from me as the Boulder location, but I get over to that area now and then so I'm happy about it! :-) The more vegan offerings around town, the state, the country, the world, the better!
