Subject: Gigantic garage sale to help rescue dogs with medical, behavior problems
To aid homeless dogs with medical, behavior problems
For immediate Release
The 8th Annual Misha May Foundation Dog Training & Rescue Garage Sale, Friday, May 30, will help save dogs deemed unadoptable and placed on 'death row' at area shelters. It will be held at 3901 East 7th Parkway, one block west of Colorado Blvd., from 8 am to 4 pm. For more information, or to volunteer to foster a dog, email the rescue at [address removed].
Misha May’s mission is to rescue, rehabilitate and re-home dogs who are at risk, regardless of breed or mix, behavior or medical issue. The licensed non-profit focuses on animals no one else wants, and, when needed, fundraises to meet medical expenses and provide training for dogs with behavioral issues.
Lorraine May, the rescue’s founder and coordinator, said she is committed to a compassionate society that puts an end to euthanasia as a means of canine population control, as a solution to behavioral issues, and as justification for human error, apathy or irresponsibility.
Champ (photo below) is one of the rescue dogs up for adoption. He is a young, companionable Red Fox Labrador Retriever, who would like nothing better than to walk anywhere with his person or wait patiently for her or him at home. Other dogs available for adoption can be found at www.mishamayfoundation.org.
The sale includes a variety of items, including tools, kitchen ware, Christmas ornaments, household decor, furniture, clothing, books, CDs, framed prints, costume jewelry, animal themed merchandise and much more.
