Live and Let Livingston's NICE Cream Social!

Thanks to documentaries like Forks Over Knives, more people know about the serious links between the proteins in dairy and cancer growth.
The water waste and pollution caused by dairies is staggering

Yet many people are unaware of the cycle of violence (rape, confinement, kidnapping, and infanticide) that is required to steal the breast milk of another species.  Many people refuse to eat veal, but do not realize those baby calves exist so dairy cows will produce milk.

It takes eight gallons of milk to make one gallon of ice cream.

The good news: it's easier than ever to find delicious cruelty-free ice creams!   That’s why Live and Let Livingston is hosting a NICE Cream Social!

At Town and Country grocery store you'll find yummy non-dairy ice creams like Coconut BlissPurely Decadent, So Delicious, and Bozeman's own Wayfare brand ice creams. . .
so pick out your favorite flavor and bring it to the potluck!

At 4:45pm during our cooking demo, we'll show you how to make scrumptious simple frozen treat in just 2 minutes, by combining frozen bananas, a splash of non-dairy milk, and a bit of vanilla extract in your blender.
Bonus: great sundae toppings like chocolate, strawberries, pineapple, and chopped nuts are vegan, (just make sure to read the labels on your chocolate and make sure milk isn’t added!)

This Live and Let Livingston Vegan Food Potluck will take place at the Livingston Public Library, 228 West Callender Street, on Sunday, July 13th at 4:30pm.
The 5-Minute food demo starts at 4:45pm; this month the recipe will be Homemade Vanilla Ice Cream.
Our monthly potluck theme is ALWAYS optional
, so we will have “real food” at this meetup too, so join us for delicious salads and other favorites!

Attendees don’t have to be vegan, but the food does.  They are asked to bring a 100% plant-based dish free of flesh, eggs, animal-derived dairy, honey, and gelatin.  For the benefit of those with food allergies,  bring a copy of their recipe or a list of all ingredients used.

Live and Let Livingston meets on the second Sunday of every month, at 4:30pm.  Delicious food, educational resources, and recipes are shared with those who care about their health, the planet, and most of all, the animals.  Plates, cups, utensils, napkins, and warming trays are provided, along with hot tea, coffee, and non-dairy cream.  Usually 2-3 dozen people attend and there are several gluten-free and raw dishes offered, along with the inevitable… cupcakes!

I thought it was at 4:30 pm on July 13, not 7 pm. Which is correct?

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
