PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE MESSAGE-New information as of August 7th, 2011

We are looking for a few good men, women and/or a combination of both. We are starting up a BUNCO group. Our first goal is to create a drama free group unlike some of the other meetups that we have been involved with. There will be no favoritism. There will be no threatening to kick you out of the group. This is not a dating service or a booty call. If you meet someone you like then consider it gravy. We want to have a regular meetup where we have FUN, enjoy some potluck and perhaps go home with a few extra beads in our pockets. The most important thing is to have FUN. There will be rules but if you agree to them and follow them then there should be no problems We are looking for 12 people who will commit to a regular schedule. We will also create a waiting list for those who have committment phobias and/or who's schedule is just too erratic to commit. The plan is to meet once a month. After we get our 12 committed members we will organize a schedule for the next 12 months. We understand that stuff happens so if something does come up on your scheduled time there will be options available to you. It is important to know that you will be responsible for paying the dues every month whether you can attend or not. Again, if you find that you cannot make the date you will have options. If you commit to being a regular member there are responsibilities. We will utilize the basic rules of Bunco as well as add a few additional dimensions to the basic. There are 3 of us who are undertaking the cost of setting up the Meetup for the first year. We will discuss what should transpire when we get near the end of a first successful year.

NEW INFORMATION

So, we have now had 2 Bunco meetups and they were both a huge success. Everyone had a good time and are looking forward to the next meeting on September 24th.

We have changed the protocol a little bit. Ideally, we would like to have a minimum of 12 people for each meetup but will work with whatever numbers we have. This includes having more than 12 and just adding more tables. All parties that have agreed to host so far can accommodate larger groups. We want everyone who wants to play be able to play.

It is not always easy to commit to being a regular member so we have changed some of the rules to make it easier to be a part of the group.

Our schedule has been updated and starting January, 2012 we will play on the first Saturday of every month (January 7, February 4, March 3, April 7, May 5, June 2...) Please check out the calendar for the dates through June, 2012. All we are asking is that if you sign up to play you make every effort to show up. If you can't then please notify the host either by e-mail or a phone call. It is no longer necessary to send your money in beforehand.
