Cathi's Cruise up Bootleg Canyon Trail - Boulder City

Greetings!  This hike will follow Canyon Road up to the tippy top where Flight Linez begins.  This trail is really the groomed, gravel road that the trucks use to haul the zipliners up for their ride.  We will hike the road up to the peak and see marvelous views of both Vegas on one side, Boulder City on the other and practically all the way out to Searchlight, so bring your cameras.

Distance:  Approximately 5 miles round trip

Elevation:  I'm guessing about 800 feet.  The hike is a moderate, continuous uphill trek

Exposure:  None

Bring a snack.  We will have a little picnic at the top and then either make our way down the same road, or if the light is holding out for us, take one of the other trails back.

If anyone is interested, we can head into downtown Boulder City and get a pizza after the hike.

The goal is to hike as a group, so I will be making periodic stops to ensure we stay together.  It is worth the effort to get to the top.

Bring:  Water, headlamp or flashlight, camera, snack, hiking poles if you are so inclined. This hike is pet friendly.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
