Pine Creek Peak - Top 5 Scramble in Red Rock!
This is one of mine and will probably be one of your favorite scrambles in Red Rock. The route starts in Pine Creek Canyon. Shortly after entering the south, south fork of Pine Creek, the route climbs steeply and I mean steeply out of the canyon to the ridge. From there it's 90+ minutes of scrambling on the ridge and asking: How in the hell are we going to get up this next obstacle?
This is a round trip route so no leaving anyone and getting them on the way back.
Must be in good shape and able to handle class 3/4.
No show policy is in effect.

Hike: Pine Creek Peak
Distance: 7.5 miles
Elevation gain: 2,240 feet
Elevation peak: 6,240 feet
Time: 5.5 to 7.5 hours
Difficulty: 4
Class: 3/4
History: I found this route back in 2003 and named the peak.

MarianneThis was a great route. Lots if scrambling. The last few climbs to the top were so scenic. Great fall colors too. We had a blast, great dynamics, and lots and lots of laughs. I hope Jerry wears his bowtie next week. Thanks Branch for another great hike!
