Hidden Peak in South Red Rock Canyon
No location was chosen
Hidden Peak is one of the easier peaks in south Red Rock Canyon, but it's not an easy scramble. Good views of Black Velvet Peak and the Monument are had from the summit. Scrambling is mainly class 2, though you have to climb the Black Velvet ledges, which are exposed class 3.
We Need High Clearance Vehicles to reach the trailhead.
Stats:
Hike: Hidden Peak
Distance: 7 miles — round trip
Elevation gain: 2,340 feet
Elevation peak: 6,240 feet
Time: 5 – 6 hours
Difficulty: 5
No "+1", no guests, no dogs, no kids, no falling to your death!!!
I have recovered from the "3-Ds."
This hike is more difficult than Windy Peak, which I led recently.

I wasn't able to get that lift kit for my Corolla after all so I'll need a ride as well.
