I spent 5 days in the Grand Canyon with a 50lb pack. We were averaging 10 miles a day. The hike out of So. Kaibab in a snow storm was brutal. I hiked down to Phantom Ranch in a snow storm in 2009. Coming out the next day was 18 degrees and a foot of snow. Great memories with my daughter who joined me.
I have a love of the outdoors. It doesn't matter if it's hunting, fishing, camping, hiking, golfing or just sipping my coffee overlooking Bright Angel trail. I try to have a couple of exciting trips planned each year that require me to stay in shape.
Prince of Wales Island, Alaska. The Gila Wilderness, New Mexico. The Wise River, Montana. North, South and inside of the Grand Canyon. My three times to Havasu Falls.
In the summer lets go up and in the winter lets go down.
This group will help me learn more trails.
I'm interested in hikes up the Red Rocks, Mtn Charleston and anything else within a couple hundred miles. My last trip down the Grand Canyon was March 2014. Love doing Havasu Falls.
I have a few hikes under my belt since moving here. This is a great way to learn the hikes and find hikers you enjoy spending the day with.
