Physically difficult would be anything that had loose rocks. Can't stand those! As far as length, when I volunteered for the search of Ron Kirk. Our group circled around the Turtle Head of Red Rock area. It was probably the longest search/hike I have ever been part of.
I used to hike when I was little. I was born in Armenia, a very rocky country, and almost every single family trip had some level of a hike. Then when I moved to Vegas, I was thrilled to get to hike the Red Rock and Mt. Charleston area. Now my friends and I try to stay active and every now and then go on a new hike and have a good time.
In Armenia, it would be Jermuk. It is a resort with lots of mineral waters, streams, different herbs on every rock, waterfalls, just a beautiful place! In America, it would be Zion.
I'm a big fan of the Calico Basin, because those hikes are mostly short and involve a bit more of arm muscle rather than all legs. Of course also any new places I have never been to.
I love to hike. I don't work out, this is my alternative. I think hiking gives you a better feel and view than being locked up in a little room with a bunch of sweaty people running in one spot. I am hoping I will be able to get out with a group of good people and visit some beautiful places all the while getting a nice hike.
Nature fascinates me. I also love the desert! Viva Las Vegas!
