What is the most difficult hike you have ever done?

A 63 mile hike through Desolation Wilderness. I was just a scrawny 13 year old kid with a big backpack hiking through snow for most of the trip---in July.

How did you get started hiking, or what has gotten you back in to it?

I got started when a friend asked if I wanted to go on a 50 miler with the Scout troop. I joined and had a blast for the next 23 years. I want to get back into it as some of my pants are getting tight ; p , I have noticed that my energy level is low.

Where is the most scenic place you've ever hiked or camped?

Desolation Wilderness. My Scout troop did two legs of the Kit Carson Trail for around 110 miles.

Where would you most like the group to go on an outing?

I live in Logandale so nowhere in the Vegas Valley is out of my way. Having a 200 mile commute everyday I don't worry about 30 miles like some do. There is also the Logandale trail system that I haven't explored yet.

Why are you joining VegasHikers?

I love the outdoors and need to get out there. I moved to S.NV in 05. I really haven't gotten out as much as I like to because I am single, and I do not like to hike alone.

Introduction

Looking for areas to get out and have fun while getting fit. I have not done any hiking since I was a Scoutmaster back in CA.
