Vegas Speakers Network presented by Simon Seminars, LLC

Where: Coffee Bean (Private Meeting Room) 4550 S. Maryland Parkway, across from UNLV.

Meeting Fee: Waived for the month

Meetup Description: We meet on the first Wednesday each month to discuss the business of speaking and work on ways to help each other find more speaking opportunities. We are open to experienced speakers as well as those just getting started. Our meetings generate a lot of energy and ideas!

We invite attendees to participate and share ideas and challenges since this is how we each find unique value in attending. Also, many of our members are business owners and are finding ways to team up and do business with each other outside of the group. Lots of great networking is happening here!

PLEASE NOTE: This is not a leads group. If your primary objective is to sell something, this isn't the group for you. We are here to help each other grow and prosper! If you get up and start trying to sell something, you will be asked to kindly sit down or leave.

MEETING AGENDA:

6:00 to 6:30 pm: Informal Networking

6:30 to 7:45 pm:

* Introductions and Speaking Engagement Announcements

* Guest Speaker:

* Goals and Challenges - How can we help you? We will draw names for the opportunity to share your challenges in the 5-minute spotlight.

* Lead Sharing - Do you know about a group or event that needs a speaker?

* Drawing for Prizes - Optional: bring a prize for the drawing!

Please be sure to tell a friend who might also enjoy our group.

    Hello all, I have decided to cancel tonight's meeting because of lack of interest in attending meetings from members of this group. For some months now, our attendance has been under 10 and I find it hard to ask a professional speaker to take time out of their busy schedule for a meeting and then we have only 6 people show up. I will keep the meet up group for a bit a longer to see our membership goes. But, please remember, meetup charges me a monthly fee to keep this group and I feel it's a wasted expense when very few people take advantage of the monthly meetings. If I decide to close the group, we will continue the network through our website. Thanks,

    Jonathan

    I was hoping to meet other local presenters of all levels within our industry. As I had shared in my bio information, I have been a professional speaker for 25 plus years. That being said, I would be happy to present to the group even if it would be a small attendance. I was a member of National Speakers Association for seven years and have given keynote; footnote and breakout sessions for hundreds of adult conferences as well as thousand of presentations in the schools. Let me know if there is interest. George Dare [masked]

    SeeI wanted to be a speaker becauseI thoughtI could motivate people,at age 41i suffered a massive stroke, and beat what all the dovtors said said. they said I wouldn't walk wouldn't drive or live independently, now I do all those things and am happy!I thought my life was over when s ,my husband of almot 20 years left me,took my kids, and now every dayI wake up happy, and grateful for wha I have,I realize now the husband wasn't worth crying over, and I know my kids will appreciate me more when they get older.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
