This is really EXCITING!

I hope you can make it!

Join us in welcoming Jon Camp, Director of Outreach for Vegan Outreach.  He has spent the last seven years traveling the country on behalf of VO's Adopt a College outreach program, reaching out to college students with the plight of farmed animals.  Jon has been to over 400 schools throughout North America, leafleting Vegan Outreach materials and giving talks. Jon will speak about his experiences working for Vegan Outreach, why we should focus our efforts on the plight of farmed animals, and how each one of us can use our limited time and resources to make a big impact for animals.  If you are interested in effective animal advocacy, this is one talk that you won't want to miss!

Check out their website: http://www.veganoutreach.org

This is the perfect opportunity to enjoy some delicious Veg food at

Our very own local vegetarian restaurant - BeLe!

Please come, bring a guest if they might be interested, and don't forget to RSVP so we can save a big enough space at the restaurant.

Dedra did an outstanding job organizing this meetup! Jon Camp from Vegan Outreach was a very good, motivational speaker. I can't wait until we can start handing out leaflets. Never thought I would say that! I highly recommend you check out his website if you haven't already done so http://www.veganoutreach.org/en...

I don't know where those question marks came from, but they won't go away.

    FROM VEGAN OUTREACH NEWSLETTER:
Leafleting at the University of Oklahoma was stellar. A number of people asked good questions, asked for an extra booklet or two, etc. The highlight was when a young woman on a bike stopped by and said, ?Dude, you changed my life. I was crying by page three. I?m totally going vegan.? I gave her a high five and a Guide. She stopped by later in the day to ask questions about local groups. Again, she stated, ?You totally changed my life.?

Everyone was so enthusiastic! The food was great. Thanks BeLe! And Jon Camp's presentation made me want to pass out leaflets as soon as possible. The pie-chart he showed of the overwhelming percentage of farmed animals suffering really inspired me to stay on this path and continue to fight for them.

The conversations with the members of our group brought forth so many ideas for activities that I'm sure we will all be seeing more of each other really soon. Thanks to all of you who were there. And to those who couldn't make it, see you soon! It's all for the animals!

Great event. Thanks for organizing, Dedra. It was a thrill to see such a large and diverse crowd of vegetarians gathered together in Tulsa, and the advocacy presentation was fantastic!

Thanks Karla, She knows we are coming. I just talked to her about it Saturday. Everyone should try to go there as much as they can so she can stay open. It would be a major loss if she had to go out of business!

Might want to check to make sure they are still open before having the meeting. Be Le has told me she's not sure how long they will remain open.

Be Le's address is 6634 S. Lewis Ave. - I made an edit to say they are on the WEST side of Lewis, not the East side. :)
