Vegan Potluck at Mead Fest

Come enjoy a vegan potluck while enjoying Mead Fest at 7Cs Winery!  Instead of having our potluck at our usual place, we thought we would try something else this month.  7Cs Winery is hosting their 4th Annual Mead Fest, complete with:

Live Music By:
Rowans Crossing

Medieval Demonstrations By:
Society of Creative Anachronism
Project Vagabond
Gypsy Sol

Bird of Prey Demo From Dickerson Park Zoo

Vendors will have booths on site

7C's has large tents set up with picnic tables and chairs to enjoy in the shade. This will be set up like an open house, so feel free to arrive any time between 1:00-5:00.  Please bring a vegan dish to share, with serving utensils and your own place setting.  You are welcome to bring your own non-alcoholic beverages, although wine and beer must be purchased at the event.  This will be a great opportunity to meet new people, eat wonderful vegan foods, enjoy live music, watch medieval demonstrations, and sample wine and mead.  This is a family friendly event.  Feel free to bring frisbees and any other yard game you'd like.  This is a free event, although we do ask for a small donation of $1-$2 to maintain the meetup site.  It's about a 20 minute drive from Springfield. Don't use GPS or mapping to find 7C's or you'll get lost... From Springfield: Off of Interstate 44 Take US 160 West at Exit 75 toward Willard. Go thru Willard and turn right on Hwy 123 toward Walnut Grove (approx 8 miles). Go thru Walnut Grove on Hwy 123 (approx 9 miles). 1.8 miles North of Walnut Grove turn right on 560th road. Proceed down 560th for 1/4 mile. 7C's Winery is on the right.  If you are interested in carpooling, please post your request on this site.

I wanted to let this group know that Take-A-Hike will be riding bicycles on the Frisco Highline Trail to this festival. They'll be leaving from Willard at 12:30. It's approximately 20 miles round trip.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
