Monthly Vegan Potluck

Due to many of us having busy schedules towards the end of November and December, we have decided to move our potlucks towards the beginning of these months and having a holiday theme!  This will give us an opportunity to get ideas of what we might want to recreate for our own holiday hosting.  Please bring a vegan holiday dish to share (no meat, eggs, dairy) with at least one copy of the recipe to put out by your dish.  We encourage you to bring your own place setting (plate, silverware, cup) and beverage of choice.  Beer and wine is allowed but must be consumed responsibly.  If you need recipe ideas, there are plenty on the internet.  Some websites you may want to check out are www.chooseveg.com, www.101cookbooks.com, and www.fatfreevegan.com.   This will be a great opportunity to meet fellow vegans, vegetarians, and those striving to incorporate more meat-free meals into their diet.  It will also allow us to try out different foods and get inspiring recipe ideas.  We will also be starting a lending library, so please bring any any books, DVDs, or other educational materals that you would like to lend out or donate.  We will be asking for a $1.00 donation to help cover the expense of the Meetup site and supplies.  Hope to see you at the potluck!

I had such a wonderful time meeting new people and seeing some familiar faces. All of the food brought was incredibly tasty. What a great way to kick off the week before Christmas!

What interesting participants we had in December and the food, my, 'delicious' just doesn't do it justice.

We thought it would be nice to have a holiday music jam. So if you play an instrument, please bring it.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
