"Lowering Your Cancer Risk through Food Choices"--presentation by George Eisman

"Lowering Your Cancer Risk through Food Choices"
a presentation by George Eisman, MA, MSc, RD

Learn the latest about which foods lower cancer risk and which foods elevate risk, and how to substitute one for the other without risking nutritional deficiencies. Learn why many foods considered "Heart-Healthy" can actually raise cancer risk (and don't do much for your heart either).

George Eisman has been a Registered Dietitian for over 30 years, having worked at Miami Children's Hospital and at Wesley Woods Nursing Home in Atlanta, before serving as a Public Health Nutritionist for the State Health Departments of Florida, Georgia, and North Carolina. He has taught nutrition at the college and university level at Florida State University, Broward Community College, Miami-Dade Community College and most recently at Cornell University in New York. He is the author of Don’t Let Your Diet Add to Your Cancer Risk and The Most Noble Diet. He is currently the Nutrition Director for the Coalition for Cancer Prevention based in Watkins Glen, New York.

Vegan food and drink will be provided by sponsors Vegetarians of Central Florida and the First Unitarian Church of Orlando. The event is free, and donations are gratefully accepted.

I found it a good reminder to avoid animal protein and it underscored my interest in embracing veganism.

Has anyone else seen this video of Richard Oppenlander at the last Dr. McDougall conference? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fws0f9s4Bas&feature=youtu.be

I would like to go, but I generally work until 8 in Winter Park. If you ever have any events starting at 8:30, I'd love to go, and Fridays, I don't work, so.... : )

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.

Henry, started Reno Motorcycle Riders
