Weight Balance With Water

Water is the liquid of life.

Water is needed for almost every chemical reaction and metabolic process in our body... from digestion to nutrient absorption, energy production to blood circulation. You simply cannot live without it. But did you know that drinking enough water and the right kind of water can actually help you to balance weight? It’s a fact that most of us don’t drink enough water and when we drink water, we drink the wrong kind of water. We live in a permanently dehydrated state without even realizing it. This can have a profound effect on your overall health, as well as your ability to lose and balance weight.

How does water help you lose weight?

Just one simple dietary change, increasing the amount of water you drink, can have a huge impact on your shape, size and overall fat content, helping you to achieve the balanced ratuio of fat and muscle in your body easily and naturally. There are a number of very simple reasons why drinking plenty of water can help you balance weight. Firstly if you keep your body properly hydrated you’re less likely to suffer from fluid retention. Many people who are overweight are bloated simply due to the fact that they don’t drink enough water. When you’re dehydrated, your body sees this as a threat to its survival and holds onto any water it can around the cells and body tissues. When you’re properly hydrated, your body will release any excess water, helping you to look slimmer and more toned.

Another reason why water is so important for weight balance is that it can actually help your body to burn fat. If you’re not drinking enough water, this puts too much stress on your kidneys and liver as they try to filter out any toxins and waste products from your body. As your liver is the major site for fat metabolism in the body, the extra stress from dehydration means that it won’t burn and break down fat efficiently, meaning you’re more likely to store fat on your hips and tummy. An extremely easy mistake is thinking we are thirsty when it's actually hunger. When your body is dehydrated your brain is sending you messages to drink fluids, but commonly these signals are confused with hunger.

And what do you do when you’re hungry?

Eat! Meaning you’ll probably consume more calories than your body needs. Next time you feel hungry, try a glass of water instead... you’ll be amazed how your hunger is often satisfied with a glass of water.
The final reason why water is important for weight loss is because of the acid-alkaline balance of the body. We constantly create acidic by-products as we process and digest our food, particularly if our diet is rich in meat, dairy and refined grains. If we produce too many of these acidic by-products our bodies cannot eliminate them and they end up stored in our fat cells. So if our bodies are too acidic, it doesn’t matter how much we count calories or pound the treadmill, we simply cannot get rid of the fat.
A healthy, non-acidic body will naturally shed the fat until it reaches its ideal weight. One way to neutralize the acidity is to drink alkaline water, alongside a diet rich in alkaline foods such as green leafy vegetables and fruits.

What kind of water should I drink?

Choosing the source of your water carefully is important. Tap water can actually contribute to water retention and increased acidity due to the levels of toxins and contaminants that populate our water supplies. The vast majority of commercial bottled waters are also acidic in nature, therefore contributing to increased fat storage. To optimize your weight balance and overall health, investing in a water system that makes ionized, restructured alkaline water that's been returned to its original form as nature intended. People report losing up to 1lb or more a day. I've actually gained muscle because I'm fully hydrated now....go to Kangen Water
