Col Du Pantoll beat the cars(?) and get back.

This is a scenic road ride out to Stinson and back;  We would head past Mike's bikes Sausalito, do the Pantoll loop (link below), then end with a coffee and snack at either Dynamo or Rapha Club near the start if anyone has time. The bulk of the route is here: http://mikesbikes.com/merchant/344/images/site/col_du_pantoll_map_2.jpg
this ride should be ~ 2.5-3 hours and estimated at 40 miles with some good climbing. We can stop in Stinson briefly if people vote for that on the ride. Perfect morning ride and still have half a day left!! This can be a no drop ride.

... and I didn't see Eugene's text until about noon. Hope you guys didn't hang around too long. This is a good argument for having drop rides.

No worries guys, since everyone was experienced and knowledgeable we just let it be a drop ride on the fly.....Until next time!

Great call on avoiding Hwy 1 - only one car passed me when I rode down but there were a line of cars coming up. Got to ride on a section of new road which is always great.

How is that any different from Strava?

      May 31, 2013

    • Brian S.

I dont know anything about Strava's route mapping ability, can you create routes there?

FYI, June 1 conflicts with the 17-mile drive ride, which you all should join!

Date can be flexible....this could become a staple ride? If someone wants to mapmyride it or ridewithgps, please post link.

Yeah, I work in Oakland at 3:30 so I can't make other rides but this one might work well. The only catch is getting bike on BART into city rush hr.

too early for a short ride.

    May 24, 2013

    • Brian S.

8:30 ain't early and 40 miles with hills aint short ;) Hope to see you out there!

      May 24, 2013

  • Brian S.

it sounds like 8:30 is a buzz-kill for most folks. I am fine with 9:30 if that suits the group better......

I'll be away on vacation. Have a safe ride!

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
