Tour de Peninsula - fun event for all levels

The Tour de Peninsula is coming up again. August 4th at Coyote Point. Those that have done this ride will know it offers great value for the $45 entry fee ($50 after July 1). A lot of families participate together, some people don't wear lycra and there are almost none of the weekend racer types.

Route options include 20 miles, 31 miles, 56 and 63 miles. All routes include the great Sawyer Camp Trail alongside Crystal Springs Reservoir. The start/finish venue is Coyote Point Park, which is a warm, sunny, bayside location shaded by big eucalyptus trees.

Velo Paradiso members usually ride at their own pace and then meet for a post-ride lunch and story-sharing at a picnic table in the finish area. Rides begin at 7 a.m. and 8 a.m. depending on the route option.

My brother and I are planning to ride the longest route but if it's foggy up on Skyline we'll probably skip Old la Honda West. See you on the road or at the rest stops.

Yes, and I will probably ride to Coyote Point for the start too... then catch BART home after.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
