looking forward to riding with you!
I'd consider myself an intermediate cyclist. definitely an addict. my Saturday rides have been 60-100 miles. I do a shorter recovery ride on some Sundays. Mon - Fri I commute by bike in SF.
I grew up on dirt but now I'm a roadie. I would like to ride more dirt than I have been and I prefer to not drive, so it's Headlands and Tam, sometimes SF dirt.
nope, just an unhealthy addiction to cycling.
Yes. I've done 130+ Meetup rides, most of them as the lead.
Absolutely. I take safety very seriously. I strive to be fast up the hills and slow down them.
South Bay Bicycling Group....
Hey Mike... There are about 40 of us going on this one today.. just FYI.
Happy Thanksgiving, Mike!!
Mike, It was great to see you on another great ride! Cruella was great! This time we peddled right past the pig, 3 bears and the lil BI***. Fun ride!
Mike it was great chatting it up with you after the King Ridge Fondo .... yes what an unlikely surprise it was. Thanks for the heads up with this Bay Area Biking group.... hope to see you out on one of those rides soon. If your ever down this way check out South Bay and Peninsula Road Cycling, fantastic group.
Thanks Mike. I'll see you on one of the rides soon.
Thanks, Mike! Yep, Shelly finally nagged me into signing up here :) We did the Alpine Dam/7 Sisters today--it was lovely as usual. And we got a special treat on the bridge; arrived at the north end at 3:30, as the gatekeeper was unlocking it. W O W--a clear shot across the bridge, hit 26mph! Very fun. The 508 was hard as usual..I am still working on my race report. Check out www.teamsupertabby.com in the next few days..
Mike - I'd like to join you. My pace is the same as yours except that I really lag going up hills. I'm fast going down though! I like the Pt. Reyes ride and there are some great paved off road trails through Samuel Taylor that don't add mileage. I'll be on a blue/white Specialized, white helmet, black shorts, purple jersey. FYI, I rode GGB and Marin today - near zero visibility on the bridge, warm and sunny in Marin! Cell 602-3074
Hey, Mike. Looks like we're riding together. Look fwd to meeting you! I"m also an ex mtn biker of sorts, which explains why I love the hills and am not the fastest flats rider. Your avg pace is fast vs. me. I avg 11-12 MPG on our typical Tunnel-Skyline-Pinehurst route over here, 14 or so on the flats. I love riding and want to learn to be a better cyclist! C U tomorrow! Cheers, Ann
Thanks for the recommendations, Mike! The CAT series sounds like something to definitely check out!
