Farming was both more fun and more chaotic than Agricola. Another Dust Storm, anyone? Fealty got a bit dose of whaaat? Dominant Species, the card game, wasn't bad, but my hand was rather deprived of special cards in the mid game.

Kyle thank you for your peaceful shepherding of us newbies through the universe of Eclipse ;-). The only problem is that I didn't find any Cylons.

    1 · August 15, 2012

    • Gregory M. H.

      Serge a Toaster again? .... well wasn't that predictable ? :-)

      August 15, 2012

    • Kevin M.

That makes sense, only a Cylon would control the Police Chief AND the District Attorney.

      August 15, 2012

  • Tim P.

Games played included: Eclipse, Farmageddon, Fealty, Vegas, Dominant Species card game, 7 Wonders, Urban Sprawl, Battlestar Galactica and Agricola.

Boo hoo -- I must go to an appt in T.O. at 6:45, and I don't know how long it will last. I hope I'll be able to get into a game in the second half; it not, I'll try to learn something about Eclipse by watching it. I'll bring my own chair.

    August 14, 2012

  • Kevin M.

I'm bringing Urban Sprawl for some calamitous city-building.

    1 · August 14, 2012

    • Sudro

It's been a while since I played, so I'll need a quick refresh of the rules, but I'd totally be up for Urban Sprawl.

      August 14, 2012

    • Kevin M.

I re-read the rules today and am totally ready to teach/refresh.

      August 14, 2012

  • Tim P.

27 signups, prepare to bring some extra chairs and tables folks.

    August 14, 2012

    • Ted C.

or show up last and sit on the floor...

      August 14, 2012

    • Ted C.

People will be grabbing seats and waving to other people "Bring that game over to play - I'm not moving!"

      August 14, 2012

  • Tim P.

Are 2 beginner games of Eclipse still planned for tomorrow ? The big table would be the best location for them.

    August 13, 2012

    • Juli M.

Greg, it's slightly hidden in the tiny offices between Wendy's & Pollo Loco, across from the Golf place.

      August 14, 2012

    • Kyle

Yeah, if you exit the 101 on Wendy, just turn right at the first light once you get on Wendy.

      August 14, 2012

Rumor has it that was how Penny was finally befriended. http://tecsupport.biz...

Gen needs to work on her evil overlord look: "I am going to take over the world !, err the game is Eclipse so I meant to say that I am going to take over the universe mwwhhaaa"

      August 14, 2012

  • Josh K.

Are there experienced 7 wonders players here that like the game? I asked Snopes to bring the Cities expansion tomorrow and I would like to give that a shot. He doesn't have leaders, but I do, if people also want to play with leaders.

    August 13, 2012

    • Josh K.

Oh good, I can't wait to play with the expansion. There just isn't enough going on with the regular game.

      August 14, 2012

    • Tim P.

If Kevin is bringing the Monty card, I will have to find the super-duper-rare Rommel card.

      August 14, 2012

  • Ted C.

I sure hope someone brings bacon flavored lotion.

    August 13, 2012

  • Jon D.

I'll bring my copy of eclipse just in case

    2 · August 13, 2012

  • Kyle

Is there any interest in a learning/beginners game of Eclipse? I know it's been hitting the table a lot lately, but I get the feeling there are a few that haven't played or would like to get a little more experience.

    August 8, 2012

    • David

I'm up for Eclipse on Friday.

      August 9, 2012

    • Ted C.

As were a few others, we are now about full. Maybe I can get another game on Saturday? If interested drop me an email and we'll work out a time.

      August 10, 2012

  • Laurel

I've been warned that Eclipse might be too complicated for me, so I've been avoiding learning (or trying to learn); however, I suppose I should at least try at some point, so if extra people are needed for a second newbie game, I'll venture into the galaxy.

    1 · August 9, 2012

  • Josh

Does anyone want to play Xeno games World at War?

    August 9, 2012

  • Kyle

A quick newbie-friendly-Eclipse-game update: We've already got 5 future galactic emperors and empresses signed up. That completely fills one game (5 players plus a teacher), so anyone else interested is welcome to post, but may or may not be able to join in on the actual game. If we get a second copy of Eclipse, however, that should solve that issue. Any members willing to bring their copy of Eclipse for a possible second newbie game?

    August 8, 2012

    • Josh K.

I would consider me a doubtful for Eclipse. Most likely when I show up on Tuesday, I'll probably want to do something else. :)

      August 9, 2012

    • Ted C.

I might be willing to bring Kyle's copy of Eclipse :-)

      August 9, 2012

  • Greg D.

Hello everyone, I just discovered your group. Will there be an eclipse game here for a newbee? I'd be up for that.

    August 8, 2012

    • Kyle

Welcome, Greg! Yes, we've been organizing a newbie Eclipse game for next Tuesday, and you're welcome to join! There is one slight hiccup, though; I'd like to keep the number of players to 5, if we can, just so we can finish at a reasonable hour/not have to quit early, and you'd be player 6. All is not lost, mind you, the host might be playing with us and be cool with staying a little later, we may have a second game going, or someone else may drop out. In any case, if you don't hear otherwise, ask on Tuesday night and we'll see what our options are. And, once again, welcome!

  • Greg D.

"Eclipse New Dawn for the Galaxy" not the one based on the Twilight Movies correct?

    August 8, 2012

    • Greg D.

      maybe that's a later expansion....

      August 8, 2012

    • Tim P.

      Unlike, unlike, unlike etc

      1 · August 8, 2012

  • Juli M.

can we add crappy experienced players to that list? I'd love to play a game where I am not immediately crushed into oblivion.

    1 · August 8, 2012

    • Gregory M. H.

Juli, your loss was my gain .... literally, I think I gained a pound or two eating Gen's cupcakes.

      1 · August 8, 2012

    • Josh K.

Work thing..... That's what they all say.

      August 8, 2012

  • Kyle

You might be a bit to harsh on yourself, Juli, but, yes, this would be an Eclipse game for people totally new to the game and those who are still learning the ropes.

    August 8, 2012

  • Tim P.

Any (game related) requests ? The official ruling is that cupcakes. fudge or brownies are considered game accessories. Cheetos are just evil.
