Verge Bloomington's June Event

Happy summer, Vergers! We're pleased to bring you this month's event in open air at the Glen at Irish Lion. It's the perfect time of year to sit outside and bask in the glory of summertime and startups. We'll start off this one with Health Abacus - "Your healthcare financial adviser." Health Abacus is an intersection of math and healthcare, and allows employers and individuals to assess and explore medical diagnoses, treatments, and tests, their associated costs, prevalence, return on investment (including impact on life expectancy), and other data points to make informed health care decisions, and to help minimize costs and expenses.

After that we'll hear from Matt Barr, co-founder of ClearWave Interactive, who will be sharing ClearVue Tours, a virtual reality experience designed with the new home buyer in mind. ClearVue was created to simplify the home building process, and allow for more educated early-stage decision-making.

The fireside this month will feature our own Katie Birge to chat about the Bloomington Tech Partnership's latest project, Bloomington Code School. The code school will open its doors on June 23rd and will be offering courses in web design, front end web development, PHP development and Rails development. Katie will fill us in on the details and how the local tech community can get involved.

We'll see you and yours at the Glen!

Hi all, coming down from the north. Where is the best place to park around the Irish Lion, and is there a cost?

I got to Bloomington around Noon, and took a ticket. When I left, the gates were open... was I still supposed to pay? Very confusing.

Ha, nope! Actually, if you leave anytime after 5, the gates are already up and you don't have to pay in that lot.

I am really kicking myself for not going to be able to make this one. Irish Lion is great!

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
