I've got two movies as options in the event nobody brings something preferable (no Blu Rays...don't have the equipment for those)...."Fracture" starring Anthony Hopkins and Ryan Gosling.....suspense/thriller.  Or "No Man of Her Own" starring Carole Lombard and Clark Gable.....

Hello, So, I tested with the setup yesterday and it looks like it works with the DVDs I have with some format conversions in between. I have few independent and international movies, mostly on Art and philosophy side. Following are some samples : Baraka (USA)
    Werckmeister Harmonies (Hungary)
    Factotum (USA)
    Barton Fink (USA)
    Tulpan (Kazakhstan)
The Story Of Qiu Ju (China)

If there is interest among members, we can screen them sometime.

    Cheers,
    Chaitanya

If anyone is interested, I may have some international arthouse movies. I can confirm around next weekend, after checking compatibility etc.

Hi Beth, I wanted to try out few things before I commit a movie ... Looks like screening room is booked all of this weekend ... I will be trying few things ( compatibility / subtitles and stuff) ... And let you all know how it goes ...
If it works out fine, we may have few more options over next few weekends ....

Hi Beth, I haven't made it to one of your "Meet at My Place" showings yet, but certainly have wanted to. I am free March 8th and could bring a couple of DVDs with me if you would like. A few that own which might be fun to watch in a group setting include "Up in the Air," "On a Clear Day," "V For Vendetta," and "A History of Violence." I also have "Cast Away," "The Edge," and "Dead Calm" all of which are older, but still great movies (IMHO). Just let me know if you want me to bring any of these. Oh, and for those of you that haven't seen it yet "Fracture" is very well done, and I would gladly watch that again. :-) I look forward to meeting you all on the 8th.

EERGH!! Bob, feel free to come and bring any or all of those movies as options. We'll have lots to vote on. Hopefully, we'll , as a group, decide on one before 11PM....:). Beth PS to get to my place: drive into Winooski, if coming from Burlington, cross bridge and get on rotary. Immediately bear right onto Winooski Falls Way. At first stop sign, park anywhere (after 7PM, no time limit). Take left onto Cascade Way, turn right into driveway. My building will be on your left. "15" over the door. I'll be there letting folks in.
