Come to see "The Thing" , the prequel to the 1982 John Carpenter classic.

Just to be safe, will someone bring another movie in case the member who's bringing "The Thing" has to cancel?

Thanks

I have Scorcese's "Mean Streets" and "Atonement" as back ups!

Great, really enjoyed the company and the conversation. I really liked the movie talk after the film, lots of free conversation.

FYI, warning: I'm having maintenance person try to fix the audio (that others have gotten to work but, last time, on my own, I couldn't figure it out). Seems tech savvy persons know how to get the DVD audio going. So, if someone feels confident that , between everyone, the audio can get going, let's keep the date....

Yes it's a thriller/horror type movie. I saw the first one in '82 and am going to pass on this one. Unfortunately I don't like horror movies or musicals (I know, interesting combo on the 'not' list). For those who want more info, Wiki has a pretty write up here (better than (IMDb's): http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Thing_(2011_film). Have fun everyone, hope to see you all next time. Best, Sherrie

Hey. I moved from Essex Junction to South Starksboro in July. It's a 45 minute ride now to get to Beth's place. Does anyone live along the way that would like to ride together; Lincoln, Bristol, Hinesburg?

Hey, I wanna go!!! Where do ya park?

    August 18, 2012

    • beth

Most folks park in the Winooski City Parking Garage...it's entrance is off Cascade Way (the right off Winooski Falls Way)...to get to the entrance to my apartment, exit the parking garage, walk directly across the street and my building is on the left with "15" over the door. I'll be down there letting people in...

It's the prequel to 82' John Carpenter classic. Not a 10, but true and respectful to JC's version, I gave it 3.75 stars out of 5:) Also we can plan a trip to Stewart BC in 2023 for the 40th anniversary of JC's sight...kidding...??
