I am new to the area from Santa Monica, CA. I have a border collie who is still active. For over ten years we visited nursing homes and hospitals. I'm a writer and a teacher.

I'm so sorry for your loss. It must be a difficult moment for you. But I hope you will join us again soon. Literature is the best medicine I know for that kind of pain.

Oh, I would have loved to see that! I saw Derek Jacobi play Prospero with the RSC (must have been back in the '80's ?!!?) and it was transcendent. I'm sure Dame Mirren would be as wonderful.

No, I just know that most plays have more men's parts & and there may not be enough women's parts to "go around"! I love The Tempest, and MSND and like that the otherworldly beings are not confined to human genders. The rustics in many of the plays could be either as well!
