Hello fellow drummers and rhythmic enthusiasts! It seems an eternity since we've come together to share each other's company and percussion stylings. Lowville Park provided us with such a beautiful venue in nature to unite and create positive energy through music and shared company and we are so grateful for what we were able to experience..... note that I said "WERE" able.... Unfortunately, hand drumming and frostbite are a nasty combination so I'm excited to announce that we have partnered with the good folks at the Joshua Creek Heritage Arts Centre to continue our journey together. Join us on Tuesday November the 27th at 7pm for our first of what we are hoping to be many Community Drumming Circles we will be holding over the winter months.
Bring your djembes, frame drums, bongos, bodhrans and whatever other percussion instruments that make your spirit soar and let's create something magical together. We will have some percussion instruments and extra drums for those who need a loaner so let us know when you sign up if this applies to you. Remember that this is a drumming circle....musicians of all or no experience levels are welcome!!! :). Let's express ourselves as we "beat out" shared rhythms to generate uplifting and infectious positive vibrations.....not a bad way to spend a Tuesday evening eh????
Originally built in 1827,The Arts Centre is an organization promoting local heritage and the arts in the community: with such a mission, what better place to hold a community drumming circle? A $10 offering per participant is suggested.... the heat and hydro need to maintained for us, otherwise it's gonna be a cold and dark night of drumming :). If you want to join us and the offering is "ill-timed", please come out and offer whatever you are able when the time is right. We're so looking forward to seeing you all!!!!!!!
