Escape with us to William Head & Pearson College. We'll be exploring a few new trails on the way to Pearson College where we'll check out hiking trails or the harbour during our lunch stop.

You can bring your lunch, pick up something along the way, or have lunch at Pearson's cafeteria.

CHANGE TO PROCEDURES! Victoria Cycling Adventures Club (VCAC) has been created as an umbrella society for this meetup group in order that we be able to provide you with ride insurance. To be covered by this insurance you must first join the VCAC. The annual fee is $5, payable at your next ride. (If this is your first ride, you are not required to join until your second ride.) Visit the new VCAC website to find out all about it and to become a member:http://vcac.net

Before attending a ride with Victoria Cycling Adventures I will complete the general Cycling Safety Quiz and the Meetup Procedures Quiz.

By attending this ride, I declare that I have read, understood and agree to the contents of Victoria Cycling Adventures Waiver and Policies and Procedures.

For your safety we will break the ride into smaller groups while on busy roads. Please familiarize yourself with our Cycling procedures for large groups.

If this is your first ride with us, please print, sign and bring with you a copy of our waiver.

In case of bad weather, we will reschedule this ride and substitute an Embrace The Rain Ride in its place. Hey - we live in a rain forest, its gonna rain! Let's learn to enjoy it. This will be a short ride in town with a stop to warm up and dry out.

Good to have a longish ride after what seems like a long absence of them. And what a glorious day for it. Thanks to everyone who came.

Lots of fun. Thanks for Simon for sweeping & co-leading. Now that we know the trails & more about the college, we'll go back again some time in the summer. Unfortunately, my pictures of the group under the guard tower disappeared from my camera, which has never happened before.

Great route planning Jason!! Parts of William Head Road and Lester Pearson Road were reminiscent of Finlayson Arm Road. The added bonus in the route was the new addition of the tree across the off-road section (Latoria Creek Park), to give the ride a taste of cycle cross. ☺️

Jason - I don't know if you've ever done it with us before, but you can continue on wishart to Latoria and then to Metchosin or even go through Latoria Park. This is what the map shows. Metchosin is to be avoided when possible - narrow roads, fast cars.

I too will meet up with the gang at the firehall at Wishart

I rented a road bike to try for this ride rather than my oh so comfortable upright......I think my back is starting to hurt just thinking about it.....but my legs are thinking that a bike that is 35 pounds lighter could be fun on the hills.......guess we'll see :-)

Hi there, I just want to confirm that this ride is still a go? I'm confused because of the weather induced changes that have been necessary lately......

Looks like 15 and sunny all weekend. The ride is still a go!

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
