Victoria Drupal User Group Meetup

Come meet local Drupalistas at our revived monthly meeting! We've moved to VIATeC's current headquarters above the Scotia Bank at the northeast corner of Douglas and Hillside. There's ample parking behind the building, just north of Douglas on Hillside, but avoid the clearly labeled 24 hr metered parking slots. In the evening the Bank, furniture store and VIATeC slots are all safe and free. There's even a liquor store nearby, so you can bring your own beer to socialize after the presentation -- a great Drupal networking opportunity!

April 7th, 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

Best practices: Drupal site building with Pantheon and Features
Presented by Nedjo Rogers

Learn how to use the Features module and the free Pantheon developer platform to confidently manage a development, testing, live site building workflow. This hands-on workshop will introduce Pantheon and the steps of building out new features in development, pulling them to a test environment, and finally to a live website. We'll also look at Drupal distributions available on Pantheon and how the combination of Pantheon and the right distribution can be a huge jump start. Presenter Nedjo Rogers contributed his first Drupal module in 2003, writes for Drupal Watchdog, and is a lead developer of the Open Outreach Drupal distribution.

Next meeting:
May 5th, 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

Excellent Meetup! Thanks Nedjo for a very interesting and informative presentation and thanks to Stuart for taking the lead in making it happen. The VIATeC boardroom is comfortable, welcoming and well equipped for our purposes. It was a great start on this new series of Meetups. I'm looking forward to what Raj will be offering us on May 5th!

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.

Henry, started Reno Motorcycle Riders
