Paddle Around Chatam Island

Let's do an evening paddle to Chatam island. Leaving from Smuggler's cove means the crossing is short, leaving more time to explore the beautiful shore line of the island. This is suitable for paddlers with some experience on the ocean, as there will be some currents, and a chance that it could turn a bit lumpy if the wind comes up. I would like to maintain a speed of at least 2 knots. I want to be back well before dark. Maybe 2 or 2 1/2 hours total. If you are not sure you can handle it please email me and I will help you determine that. Hope to see you out there.

I really enjoyed that paddle. It is a fun group. I can't make the next two Wednesdays because I'll be out of town, but I will leave it up for anyone else to sign up.

Sorry I had better not paddle on this upcoming Wednesday as I will be leaving to go camping Thursday morning. I will try to come the following week and hopefully by the end of this weekend I will have organized a day trip for August 23rd.. Lynn if you were able to find a map of Sooke basin that would be awesome I am going to drive out this Sunday to check it out.
